Run, White & Blue 5K

THE COURSE
The Start & Finish line and parking are at 1 Granada Ave. at the boat launch ramp in the Belmont Shore area of Long Beach. The flat “out-and-back” course, which heads toward the Queen Mary and downtown Long Beach, is along the scenic beach bike path. The turnaround point is near Junipero Ave. The course will have NO monitors, nor water stations. Parking is 25 cents per 15 mintues (so run fast!). Parking meter enforcement begins at 8 a.m.

This event is part of Justin Rudd's weekly Sand Challenge Beach Boot Camp classes and is not a fundraiser for the Community Action Team. Sign-in begins at 8:30 a.m.

NO FRILLS
This is a fun run on the beach bike path with no frills. There will be a digital time clock at the finish line (no timing company). There are no water stations or volunteers along the route. There is a water fountain near the turnaround and at the start/finish line. No award certificates, no t-shirts. The top-three male and female runners will receive Sand Challenge class credits. No age categories.

ENTRY FEE
$10 at the event

WALKERS & STROLLERS WELCOME
Participants are welcome to walk and/or push a stroller.

HANDICAPPED WELCOME

1000+ PARKING SPACES
There are more than 1,000 metered parking spaces in the beach-front parking lots at the Belmont Pier and Belmont Pool. Bring quarters.
